It’s been an incredible week. Today was even better because we took a drive through the countryside. It’s honestly the best way to spend my weekends. A little over a year ago my husband suggested a house to me in the country and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I think I was born to live the simple life and that all I’m after right now.
Our first stop was Boscov’s to look for a new recliner for Greg but we did not have any lunch but we did find a ton Santa and baby Jesus stuff, and it made me feel good, and like I was back in the 80’s. I’ve felt ashamed to like Christmas for years, and it was nice to walk into a store that celebrated and did not make me feel like an outcast. I never even knew I had those emotions until today.
We went down an escalator. So, I thought I had a good picture but I was hiding behind the phone #PictureFail
Greg was wearing his NYPD hat proudly!
After our mall trip, we went for lunch at the pace that we always go for lunch (Baugher’s) and we ordered the same thing. I got my water with lemon (it was a tiny lemon today).
And my usual turkey and fries with a TON of gravy (just how I like it).
After lunch we went for a drive through the country side to look for homes that are for sale.
I know a lot of people that want to get away from that life. I’m not putting them down, but I can’t understand why anyone would want to give this up. Maybe because they feel like they are missing out on something. Trust me when I tell you that peaceful is where it’s at!
