I could say to you that it’s hard to make time to get to the gym. It is but it’s also an excuse. Let’s be real; I have no more on my plate this year than I did the last two years. So, I choose to make time, and that’s the difference. I made fitness a priority, and it’s not as much a priority to me now as it once was.
I’m not making excuses for myself now because I have none. You do it, or you don’t. The difference is now I decide to go home and spend time with Greg, or I just want to relax and watch tv or hang with Digger. See how I make a choice to not workout. I bet if you sit back and think about it you will see the same as I do. You need to decide to make your health a priority.
The holidays are coming, and people get busy. This is the time of the year I love to be in the gym because it’s quiet. Also, it’s not busy and a great opportunity for me to get back to where I was before the first of the year. It will also allow me more flexibility once the new year arrives. So, I can workout from home if I want to or skip a day or two. If the gym is insanely busy (and you know it will be). This week I’m much better about getting my meals together. I’m waking up early every morning, so I can get my fasted cardio done. I drink all my water and do what needs to be done. I just want to not do any more damage before the beginning of the year.
I’m still trying to decide on what to do next year. So, I’m not sure I will have an answer for you anytime soon, but I will keep pushing and making progress because on-season or off-season does not matter it’s all about improvements and that’s the name of the game. I want y’all to hold me accountable, and I will do the same for you if you need it. We all have lots of things going on, but our health can’t be put on the back burner. I will make sure I update you again next week.
