Two days into my staycation and we have a new curio cabinet to add more of my Betty Book collection. I have several collections together on one shelf and this new curio is large enough for multiple collections and they all how their own shelf. I’m happy with this new Facebook Marketplace find.
I’m also becoming obsessed with the Marketplace on Facebook. It’s better than something like Craigslist where you are meeting someone you have no clue about. On Facebook at least you can semi stalk the other person’s page to see if there are any glaring concerns about the other person. Am I the only one who does that or feels that way? Let me know if I’m alone on this one.
While Greg and I spent most of the morning cleaning we got a phone call from one of his sons that asked if you could come over for a little bit. He also wanted to bring his nephew (our grandson) along and of course we were excited to see them both. It’s the first time his son has been to the house since we moved so it was nice to show him around. Our grandson has been over many times before.
Greg and his son Corey went to 3 Hogs BBQ to pick up lunch while I tool Tyler to McDonald’s for his lunch. I have not been to a McDonalds in 4 or 5 years so it was different to go in there and order on a screen. I wish I would have taken some video but I was thrown off when I was directed towards a screen instead of a person.
After lunch, I tried to kill some extra time with Tyler so I took him to a park. He was being silly trying to hide in the large baseball glove.
We saw a few other kids that were walking on rocks in the stream. Tyler found some rocks to throw in the water to break the ice that had started to form overnight.
I found some good rocks to help him in his quest to break the ice. On our rock finding adventure, he stepped on a large pile of dog poo. Not the best thing to happen. I guess that should be no surprise in a dog park if people are rude and don’t pick up after their pets. Grrr!
The weather has been cold lately but I didn’t think it was cold enough to ice the water up so soon.
We took a long detour through some farms so Tyler could see cows and he even saw a deer running through a field.
Once we got home Greg and Corey were behind us only by a few minutes. The plan was to stay out long enough to let Digger relax while we were out. He gets a little intense when Tyler comes over because he loves to see him.
I got a special delivery of the wing sauce that was made for the Satan’s Spit BBQ Wing Challenge. So, the peppers used are the ones we grew this year. The sauce is pretty freaking amazing too! He used 70 Carolina reapers, 200 ghost peppers and 50 Habaneros. They even have to have people sign a waiver. Pretty freaking cool if you ask me!
We got one of our favourites from them called the Hungry Bogart. It’s a true classic if you ask me and it’s what got me to eat BBQ. I was never much of a fan of BBQ until we found this place.
I mean, how yum does this look?! I’m ready for another one now. Lol
We will end this here so I can get moving today. It’s alrea11 am1am and I need to get my butt in gear. So much to do and it will be getting dark again in a few hours.
