A few years ago I was one of those “I don’t make resolutions” people, and I didn’t know why I felt the need to be so snobby about it. I’ve been tossing and turning at night over it this year, and I think I figured it out. One year I said it because I felt like there was no way I could reach the goals I wanted to set, so I refused to set myself up for failure.
Another time it was because I did not want to fall into the category of people who wish for things they have no intention of completing. Last year I think I made some resolutions, but I dropped them after a few weeks because I felt like I could and do you know where that has me now???? I feel lost with nothing to focus on and no way to view my progress because there was no tracking last year.
This year is different, and I will have goals and ways to meet those goals.
Last year I was all about numbers on my social media accounts. I’ve made some changes to my blog name and blog directions, and while I still focus on fitness, I also talk about other things too. I’m a complicated girl, and I love to talk about everything so my blog should reflect that also. I am going to continue on that road and share more of..everything with y’all.
I’m an open book, and you can ask me anything. So, I will work hard on interaction with all of you on my social media accounts. Please feel free to follow me everywhere (all my links are on the right of this page). I’m working on my photography and video (editing) skills this year. I will take some classes (online) to learn more and will share what I learn.
I’m working on making some money to help support my vlogging/blogging habits because let’s face it…this is not a cheap interest to get into.
I’m not sure if or when my next figure competition will be. So, for right now I need to get the excess fat off my body and build that muscle. Even without competition, it’s the look I love and want to continue to strive towards.
UPDATE: I made the choice the other day to compete again in 2015. So, you will want to watch that idea come to light in this video:
I have CoSchedule for my blog. That’s what I’m using to stay organized with my YouTube channels. So, I think this will be a significant help in keeping me focused on what needs to be done.
As you can see, my focus is on my health and fitness. Also, learning how to take better pictures and edit better videos. It sounds doable to me.
Let me know if you make resolutions. Why or why not?
