Last week I picked up additional books so you know that means it’s time for a September book haul. This time I have 16 books to show you so it was a pretty good day for me.

I’m not sure if you know about my obsession with Danielle Steel books?!?!! I will let you know right now that I’ve been obsessed with her since I was in high school. My mom introduced me to her writing years ago. Whenever I see a book she has written I add it to my collection. This month I got for more to add so let’s just get that out of the way now. I’ve added Rushing Waters, The Duchess, Dangerous Games and The Award.
On another note, I will give you fair warning that I choose my books by the title and cover. So, if you watch my book haul video you will see that I have little to no idea what these books are about. I kinda like that idea of book roulette, it keeps things interesting in my opinion. Books are like life because you never know what you will get so you just go with the flow of it all.
Ok, let’s see what else was in my goodie bag! Let’s start with one that I think I got completely wrong and that would be Modern Lovers by Emma Straub. My attempt at guessing what the book would be is entertaining. I figure it’s about was two high school friends who got married and had kids. They go on a vacation trip and become lovers. I’m not sure if that is accurate or not but it was fun trying to guess. Of course, I will let you know more once I start reading it.
I was eyeing up a book called Red Star Tattoo: My Life as a Girl Revolutionary by Sonja Larsen and I’m really excited to dig into that book. I think it will be an interesting read and from what I’ve seen it has some pretty good reviews. Little White Lies by Robert B Parker is another one that sparked my interest. From what I can tell it looks like a guy is on an internet dating site. He tells some lies and women cut checks to him. Sounds like some good drama to me!
There are some books that you just have to read based only on their name. With titles like Kayne West Owes Me $300 by Someone who went by the name Hot Karl how can you go wrong with that?! I also picked up Divorce Is in the Air by Gonzalo Tome de la Guardia and Charcoal Joe by Walter Mosley.
Fitness Junkie by Lucy Sykes and Jo Piazza got my attention with the hair pulled up in a bun because comfort is everything in life. It also said something about nipple yoga so I have to find out what that is all about.
There were some political books too and I was getting desperate to find something other than kids books so I picked up Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign, The Making of Donald Trump and Women Who Work.
Well, that’s my book haul for September. You can check out the video below. See how stupid I can be while trying to explain why I bought each one of these books. I’m crazy. Lol
