Lunch at Shady Maple in Amish Country – 2018

Happy Halloween and happy birthday to my mommy! Greg and I went to shady maple for lunch. Today I broke out the boots and I feel Fall all around me. I’m totally loving it!

The drive out there is always nice and it’s cool to see the Amish buggies. The restaurant has the best fried chicken I’ve ever eaten. So much flavor and it’s a great place to try new foods we’ve never had before. I don’t know if you’ve even seen the 3D artwork by Abner K. Zook but he did some amazing work you have to check out if you’ve never seen it before. I wish we could have a piece for our house.

After lunch we went to he market because Greg really likes the bacon they have there.

No Kids On Halloween – 2017

Digger takes up the whole couch but he loves all the blanket beds we make for him on the couch. Greg and I had our omelet this morning that is huge but we share it.  I think my man is obsessed with peppers and onions now.

Today is my mom’s birthday and she passed away in 2011 but it’s still her special day. Tomorrow is my anniversary with Greg (18 years).

While I was at work Greg was cutting up the peppers from the garden and the whole house smelled amazing. We attempted to have candy ready in case any kids walked by but we had no kids stop by. I think this will be the last time we turn the lights on.

It’s All About The Sides – 2016

I felt like I bum today but I wanted to clean the house and wanted to be comfortable doing it. Greg made dinner with a lot of sides because I’m all about the sides. I love a good mixture of food. When I was little my mom never made us eat veggies so I treated them like candy that I couldn’t have.

Trick or Treat – 2013

I love giving out candy to the kids in the neighborhood but it seems like their are less kids each year. I did not dress up today unless you want to say I dressed as a farmer chick with my overalls and flannel shirt.

Greg and I are planning on heading out for lunch tomorrow for out anniversary because that’s what we usually do.
